Non-life-threatening injuries

A single-vehicle crash in Winona County resulted in a woman and two young children being hospitalized early Tuesday morning. The State Patrol was called to the scene of the accident on Hwy. 76, approximately 10 miles east of Rushford, just before 12:30 a.m.

According to the state crash report, a Jeep traveling south on the two-lane highway left the road and collided with a tree at Cone Dale Dr intersection. The driver has been identified as Tia Marie Christenson, aged 24 from Rushford. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The two children who were passengers in the vehicle - a three-year-old boy and six-year-old girl - also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the same hospital for medical attention.

It is worth noting that none of them were wearing seatbelts at the time of impact; however, alcohol did not play any role in causing this accident.
