A woman is undergoing surgery for critical injuries after being hit by a car on Midland Avenue in Rochester, New York. The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. on Friday, prompting the response of the Rochester Police Department.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a 62-year-old woman from Rochester who had sustained severe injuries. She was immediately transported to Strong Hospital where she is currently undergoing surgery for her critical condition.
According to the Rochester Police Department (RPD), their initial investigation indicates that the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. As a result, RPD has launched an ongoing investigation into this hit-and-run incident.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to contact 911 and assist them in their efforts to identify and locate the responsible party.
