Woman Dies in Car Crash on Parker Street in Springfield

An adult woman died due to her injuries.
A tragic incident occurred in Springfield's Sixteen Acres neighborhood early Friday morning, resulting in the death of a woman. The accident took place when her car flipped over onto the lawn of a home on Parker Street.
Springfield Police provided details about the incident, stating that officers received a call regarding a single-vehicle crash at approximately 12:10 a.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of Parker and Cooley Streets. Unfortunately, the adult woman sustained fatal injuries and did not survive. There were no other individuals present in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
In response to this unfortunate event, authorities blocked off Parker Street from White Oak Road to Acrebrook Road for several hours as they conducted their investigation. However, traffic has since been allowed to resume its normal flow as Parker Street reopened.
