The woman died at the scene.

A woman tragically lost her life in a fiery crash on Sunday night in the Edgebrook area of Houston's southside. According to Houston police, the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. when the woman crashed into a utility pole and was partially ejected from her vehicle at the intersection of Shaver Street and Galveston Road.

Fortunately, several good Samaritans who witnessed the accident rushed to help and pulled the woman out of her car as it began to catch fire. However, their efforts were not enough as the vehicle quickly became fully engulfed in flames.

Despite being pronounced dead at the scene by Houston fire paramedics, these brave individuals' actions undoubtedly prevented an even more tragic outcome.

Lt. J.P. Horelica revealed that during impact with the utility pole, one of the tires came off from under her car and hit another vehicle nearby causing its airbags to deploy but thankfully leaving its driver unharmed.

The cause behind this fatal accident is still unknown as investigations continue into what led up to such a devastating event happening on our roads once again.
