Traci Slater Dies in Single-Vehicle Accident in Hesston

The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
One Person Dead in Single-Vehicle Accident Southeast of Hesston
The Harvey County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the woman who died in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday evening southeast of Hesston. According to reports, Traci Slater, 35, was driving in the 5500 block of North Hesston Road when her vehicle went off the roadway and rolled into a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at around 7:22 p.m., but lifesaving measures were unsuccessful. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
It is not yet known why Slater's vehicle left the roadway or if she was wearing a seat belt at the time of impact. The accident remains under investigation by local authorities.
