Woman causes multi-vehicle crash on Folly Bridge

A woman is set to face charges after a multi-vehicle crash occurred on Folly Bridge in South Carolina. The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday night, according to Chief Andrew Gilreath of the Folly Beach officials.
Reports from witnesses suggest that the woman was driving at high speed while traveling from James Island towards Folly Beach when she attempted to overtake another vehicle on the bridge. Unfortunately, her car collided head-on with another vehicle.
The accident resulted in serious injuries for the driver and extensive damage to multiple vehicles involved in the collision. Fortunately, no other person sustained any injury during the incident.
Emergency services including Charleston County EMS and deputies with Charleston County Sheriff's Office responded promptly to attend to those affected by the crash.
As of now, there is no information available regarding what charges will be pressed against the woman responsible for causing this accident.
