Woman Injured in Crash with Cement Truck

Driver of the Traverse taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Driver of the cement truck not hurt.
A woman sustained injuries in a collision involving a cement truck in Linn County, Iowa on Wednesday morning. According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 13 and County Home Road.
Authorities reported that the driver of a 2011 Chevy Traverse was traveling northbound on Highway 13 when she failed to stop at a sign located at County Home Road. As a result, her vehicle collided with an eastbound cement truck.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and the driver of the Traverse was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The woman has since been cited for failure to stop at the stop sign.
Thankfully, no harm befell the driver of the cement truck during this incident.
The investigation into this crash is ongoing as authorities work diligently to gather all relevant information surrounding this accident.
