81-year-old Georgia Hall Ashely killed in Abbeville dump truck crash

One person dead, one injured
The South Carolina Highway Patrol has reported a fatal accident involving a dump truck and a Kia Soul in Abbeville, South Carolina. The crash occurred on Friday at around 11:00 AM on Haigler Street. Troopers say that the dump truck was parked on the street picking up yard debris when it was hit from behind by the Kia Soul traveling eastbound.
The driver of the Kia Soul has been identified as Georgia Hall Ashely, an 81-year-old woman. Unfortunately, she died as a result of the collision. The driver of the dump truck sustained injuries and was transported to hospital for medical attention.
This incident is currently under investigation by local authorities to determine what caused this tragic accident. Our thoughts are with Ms. Ashely's family during this difficult time.
