Woman Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Crash on I-35 in Temple

A tragic auto-pedestrian crash occurred on Tuesday morning, November 14th, in Temple, Texas. According to the Temple Police Department, officers responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian accident at approximately 2:29 a.m. The incident took place on the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near the Nugent exit.
During their investigation, authorities determined that the victim was attempting to cross I-35 on foot when she was struck by a vehicle. There is no evidence of foul play involved in this incident.
Justice of Peace Cliff Coleman pronounced the victim dead at the scene. However, her identity has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
The case remains under investigation by local law enforcement officials.
