Woman Killed in Car Crash with Dump Truck in Raleigh

Deadly crash
A fatal car accident occurred in Raleigh, North Carolina on Monday afternoon. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP), a 20-year-old woman was killed after her vehicle collided with a dump truck at the intersection of Louisburg and Forestville Roads.
The NCSHP stated that the woman failed to yield when she attempted to turn left onto Forestville Road from Louisburg S. The dump truck was traveling north on Louisburg at the time of impact. Unfortunately, the young driver did not survive.
Emergency services were quick to respond, with eight troopers dispatched by Highway Patrol alongside Wake County Sheriff’s Office and Raleigh Fire Department crews who arrived on scene shortly after receiving reports of the deadly crash around 4:30 p.m.
As a result of this tragic incident, one lane has been closed on U.S. 401 (Louisburg) near Forestville Road causing heavy delays for commuters in the area.
At present, no further details have been released regarding this terrible accident.
