Woman killed, children injured
A tragic multi-vehicle crash on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Pomona resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to two young children. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received a distress call at 12:32 a.m. and promptly arrived at the scene near Fairplex Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a blue car had overturned, and they found the victims. Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. However, there is some hope amidst this devastating incident as both children, aged 5 and 3 years old respectively, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
In order to conduct a thorough investigation into the crash, all lanes of the westbound freeway were temporarily closed by CHP officials.
This heartbreaking accident serves as another reminder of how quickly tragedy can strike on our roadways. It is crucial for drivers to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic laws at all times in order to prevent such devastating incidents from occurring.
The identities of those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
