Woman Killed in Crash Involving City of Anderson Truck

A tragic accident occurred in Anderson, Indiana on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a woman. The incident involved a collision between a City of Anderson truck and the woman who was riding her bike near the intersection of West 19th Street and Madison Avenue.
According to authorities from the Anderson Police Department, the victim has been identified as Christine Barton, a 38-year-old woman. The accident took place at approximately 12:30 p.m. on August 23.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Barton was traveling eastbound on 19th Street when she attempted to cross Madison Avenue. Unfortunately, while crossing the intersection, she collided with the City of Anderson vehicle.
In an official statement released by the police department, it was stated that "all parties involved are fully cooperating with the investigation." Law enforcement officials are currently conducting further inquiries into this tragic incident.
