Hummelstown man seriously injured in wrong-way crash on I-83S

A wrong-way crash on I-83S in York County resulted in one person being seriously injured. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred on Sunday morning around 5 a.m.

Multiple calls were made regarding a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on I-83S before troopers could locate it. Unfortunately, before they could intervene, the vehicle collided head-on with another car near mile marker 4.

The female driver of the wrong-way vehicle was found to be heavily intoxicated and was placed under arrest by state police. The Hummelstown man driving the other car sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries to his neck and right arm.

State police did not disclose what charges may be filed against the female driver at this time.
