Robert Sullivan Accused of Drunken Driving After Two-Car Accident in Yorktown

Sullivan was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and other traffic infractions. He was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in court on June 16.
A Yorktown man has been accused of drunken driving after a two-car accident on Route 202 in which one of the vehicles left the scene. According to the Yorktown Police Department, officers were sent to respond to the incident at around 9 p.m. on Saturday.
As they were heading towards the scene, they received news that the fleeing car had crashed on Ridge Street. The driver who fled was identified as Robert Sullivan, aged 53 and a resident of Yorktown.
Upon investigation, officers determined that Sullivan was intoxicated while driving and was also driving at an improper speed. He was arrested and taken into custody for processing.
Sullivan is facing several charges including "driving while intoxicated, first offense" which is considered a misdemeanor under New York law. He has also been charged with traffic infractions such as failing to use designated lanes, moving from lane unsafely and speeding unreasonably or imprudently.
After being issued traffic tickets for these charges, he was released on his own recognizance when his blood alcohol content level fell below legal limits. However, he will have to appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on June 16th to face these charges.
