Shawn Mitchell Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash in Lebanon

Driver pronounced dead at the scene
A 17-year-old driver, Shawn Mitchell, was killed early Monday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Lebanon, Ohio. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Mitchell was driving a 2002 Honda Civic southbound on Hart Road near Miller Road around 3 a.m. when he drove off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene by troopers who responded to the accident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation and it is unclear if drugs or alcohol played any role.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol has not released any further information about this incident yet.
