Cement Truck Collides with Low-Height Bridge in Norwood

A cement truck collided with a notoriously low-height bridge in Norwood, Massachusetts on Thursday afternoon, adding to the list of previous truck collisions at this location. The incident occurred when the cement truck was traveling from Washington Street and struck the Morse Street bridge.

The Morse Street area has been temporarily closed off between Short and Pleasant streets while engineers assess and carry out necessary repairs on the damaged bridge. Signs posted on either side of it indicate a height restriction of 9 feet and 11 inches.
