Driver Christopher Scott dies after tractor-trailer goes over side of Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel

Driver's body and truck were recovered
Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel officials have confirmed the recovery of a driver's body after his tractor-trailer truck went overboard on the left side of the northbound bridge between Virginia Beach and the southernmost island at milepost No. 1 on Thursday afternoon. The truck was owned by Keep It Moving 22, LLC.
The driver has been identified as Christopher Scott, a 36-year-old resident of Henrico County, Virginia. A salvage crew successfully recovered both Scott's body and the truck from Cape Charles Bay on Friday afternoon.
Scott had three children including one who was born just hours after he passed away in an unfortunate incident that has left his loved ones devastated.
Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel police are conducting an investigation into what caused the crash but no cause has been determined yet.
