Arkansas Man, Eddie Bentrum, Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Choctaw County

An Arkansas man tragically lost his life in a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday in Choctaw County, Alabama. According to an official statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Eddie Bentrum, a 35-year-old resident of Lamar, Arkansas, was riding his 2022 Indian Challenger motorcycle when it collided head-on with a 2001 GMC Sierra driven by a 22-year-old Grovehill man.
The collision took place at approximately 5:25 a.m. within the city limits of Pennington on Alabama Highway 114. Regrettably, Bentrum succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities from ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. As they continue their inquiry into what led to this devastating crash, further details have yet to be released.
