A 78-year-old man died in a pickup truck crash in northern Kansas after failing to yield at a stop sign. Douglas Toll, of Clifton, died at the scene. The 48-year-old man driving the grader was not hurt.
Ana Ortega, 51, was killed by an off-duty Clovis police officer while walking her dog in Fresno. The officer was driving in his personal vehicle and is cooperating with the investigation. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
