Sturgis Woman Killed in Single-Car Crash near Three Rivers

Authorities have reported that a woman was killed in a single-car crash on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. near Three Rivers, specifically on US-131 and King Road in Fabius Township.
According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV driven by a Sturgis woman was heading northbound on US-131 when it went off the roadway and struck a tree. Sadly, the driver did not survive the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
As of now, authorities have not released any information regarding what may have caused this tragic event. The investigation is still ongoing.
