Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Toledo, Ohio Leaves One Dead

One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning, according to officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP). The accident occurred at around 12:10 a.m. on Shaffer Road near S. Berkey Southern Road in Spencer Township, Lucas County.
The driver of a 2008 Honda Accord was heading east on Shaffer Road when they veered off the side of the road and struck a tree before catching fire. The identity of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Officials say that OSHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
