Greenville woman, man, and boy injured in rollover crash near Rockford

Driver in critical condition, passengers' conditions unknown
A Greenville woman was critically injured in a rollover crash that occurred on Sunday morning north of Rockford. According to the Michigan State Police, the accident happened around 7:20 a.m. when troopers were dispatched to 14 Mile Road NE near Wabasis Avenue.
The vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Greenville woman went off the roadway and hit a driveway embankment before flipping over. The driver was thrown from the car and sustained critical injuries. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Two passengers, including a 30-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy, were also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. They were transported to an area hospital for medical attention; however, their current conditions are unknown.
As crews work to clear up debris from this incident, drivers are advised to avoid this area as it remains closed until further notice.
The cause of this crash is still under investigation by authorities who are working diligently to determine what led up to such an unfortunate event.
