A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning in downtown San Diego, as a man was hit and killed by a trash truck. The San Diego Police have confirmed the details of the crash, which took place around 5:22 a.m. near the intersection of C Street and Sixth Avenue.
According to authorities, the victim crawled from the sidewalk into the roadway when he was struck by a private trash truck traveling south on Sixth Avenue. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped after the collision.
In response to this unfortunate event, police officers were present at the scene for several hours to conduct traffic control while officials investigated what had happened. At this time, no information regarding the identity of the deceased has been released publicly. However, law enforcement believes that he was between 30 and 40 years old.
