A tragic incident in York County, Pennsylvania has claimed the life of a man who was involved in a multi-vehicle crash. According to the coroner's office, Jeffrey Burke, 54, from York City, passed away several days after being hospitalized.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, July 12 at approximately 6:40 p.m. when Burke's motorcycle collided with a car that was backing out of a parking lot along East Market Street. The coroner's report states that first responders found Burke with critical injuries and immediately transported him to Wellspan York Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Despite receiving life-saving measures, Burke sadly succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt-force injuries. It is worth noting that the report mentioned he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
While no autopsy will be conducted, authorities have obtained a toxicology report as part of their investigation into this tragic incident. The York City Police are currently looking into the details surrounding the crash.
