Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in Cooper Township

Motorcyclist died on scene
A tragic accident occurred on Sunday in Cooper Township, Michigan, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office, the incident took place at approximately 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of West C Avenue and Douglas Avenue.
The sheriff's office reported that a pickup truck was traveling northbound on Douglas Avenue while a motorcycle was heading southbound. As the pickup truck attempted to make a left turn onto West C Avenue, it "turned directly into the pathway" of the motorcycle.
Tragically, the motorcyclist lost their life at the scene of the crash. There were no passengers on board with them during this unfortunate event. The driver of the pickup truck escaped unharmed.
At present, authorities have not released any names related to this incident. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office is currently conducting an investigation into what led up to this fatal collision but has stated that they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role.
