Motorcyclist Killed in Suspected Drunk Driving Incident in Fairmount

At least one motorcyclist died, four others were injured.
A shocking incident occurred in Fairmount, Georgia around 2 p.m. on September 17th when a suspected drunk driver plowed into a group of motorcyclists, causing one motorcycle to become lodged under the front of his truck.
Ronald Grady Dickson, aged 73, collided with three motorcycles on Highway 411. He then fled from the scene with one of the motorcycles still stuck beneath his truck. Tragically, at one motorcyclist lost their life in this horrific accident while four others sustained injuries.
Police were able to follow black marks left on the road by the motorcycle being dragged underneath beneath Dickson's truck for approximately six miles before catching up to him.
According to reports, Dickson was unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred, and he did not know where he was going.
As a result of these events, Dickson now faces multiple charges including DUI (Driving Under Influence), homicide by vehicle, and reckless driving.
