New York Man Kaysohn T. Baker Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-59 in Fort Payne

One fatality, multiple injuries
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has reported a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday morning on Interstate 59 in DeKalb County, Alabama. According to ALEA, the two-vehicle crash claimed the life of Kaysohn T. Baker, a 32-year-old man from West Hempstead, New York.
The accident happened at around 9:15 a.m. near County Road 608 when the vehicle Baker was riding in left the roadway and collided with a parked tractor-trailer. The driver of the Peterbilt truck was taken to DeKalb Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained during the collision while the driver of Baker's vehicle was transported to Erlanger Hospital.
In addition to Baker's death and injuries sustained by both drivers, a 15-year-old passenger in Baker's vehicle was also injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
State troopers are still investigating this incident and no further information is available at this time.
