Propane Tank Explosion Shuts Down Part of I-59 in Pearl River County

Part of I-59 in Pearl River County is shut down after a crash involving an 18-wheeler carrying propane tanks. The tanks are exploding and the fire has spread to the surrounding area. No other vehicles were involved and no other drivers were hurt.

New York Man Kaysohn T. Baker Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-59 in Fort Payne

Kaysohn T. Baker of West Hempstead, New York, died in a two-vehicle crash on I-59 in Fort Payne, Alabama. The crash occurred when the 2025 International Durastar Baker was a passenger in left the roadway and struck a parked 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer. The driver of the Peterbilt was transported to the DeKalb Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash while the driver of the Durastar was transported to Erlanger Hospital.
