North Carolina State Highway Patrol vehicle involved in crash during chase

A North Carolina State Highway Patrol vehicle was involved in a crash on Friday night due to a chase, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. The incident happened at the intersection of Ebert Street and Oak Grove Road SW.
The trooper's vehicle crashed following a chase, causing a power line to be downed. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
The suspect, Terrence Thomas Manokey, 36 years old from Winston-Salem, has been taken into custody and is being charged with DWI (Driving While Intoxicated), fleeing to elude and several other unrelated felony warrants.
Winston-Salem police are assisting in the case while temporarily closing off the intersection of Ebert Street and Oak Grove Road SW. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call either Crime Stoppers.
