One person was killed and at least three other people were injured when a chase ended in a crash in Pasadena overnight. The pursuit started shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday after officers observed a suspected DUI driver. The chase ended when the driver in that vehicle collided into two cars that were stopped at a red light near the 110 Freeway and Glenarm Street.
A North Carolina State Highway Patrol vehicle was involved in a crash due to a chase on Friday night in Winston-Salem. The suspect, Terrence Thomas Manokey, 36, of Winston-Salem, has been taken into custody and is being charged with DWI, fleeing to elude and several other unrelated felony warrants.
Reese Jones, 19, of Ottumwa, was killed in a motorcycle crash in Bloomfield after attempting to elude law enforcement officials. The collision occurred when Jones' Yamaha motorcycle collided with a stationary Ford F-150 at an intersection. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
