One Woman Dies in Car Accident in San Jose

The woman died from her injuries.
According to the San Jose Police Department, a tragic incident occurred on Saturday night in San Jose resulting in the death of a woman. The collision took place around 9:45 p.m. near Capital Expressway and Monterey Road. Emergency responders swiftly transported the injured woman to the hospital, but unfortunately, she passed away later.
In response to this unfortunate event, authorities have taken action by increasing police presence in downtown San Jose. Additionally, an investigation is underway regarding this deadly hit-and-run collision.
To facilitate their investigation, law enforcement closed off Westbound Capital Expressway from Seven Trees Boulevard to Snell Avenue. The closure lasted several hours as officers gathered evidence and conducted inquiries.
