Police Car Crashes During Pursuit of Assault Suspect in St. Louis County

Officer and driver of other vehicle suffered minor injuries

An Overland police car was involved in a crash during a pursuit on Thursday afternoon, according to the Richmond Heights Police Department. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when officers from the Overland Police Department were pursuing an assault suspect's car.

The chase led onto eastbound Interstate 64 near Hanley Road, where one of the pursuing cars collided with another vehicle. Both the officer and driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The Richmond Heights Police Department is currently investigating the crash. No further details have been released at this time.
