A collision on Interstate 44 in St. Louis County has left one man dead and another seriously injured. Thomas Brennecke of Ballwin was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened just after 5:10 p.m. on Saturday.
David Simmons, 28, died in a crash on I-270 in north St. Louis County. Simmons was traveling too fast and too close to another vehicle before he attempted to avoid a crash with another driver. He ended up striking another vehicle, left the roadway and overturned, according to the MSHP crash report.
An Overland police car was involved in a crash during a pursuit of an assault suspect. The officer involved in the crash and the driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. The Richmond Heights Police Department is investigating the crash.
A man died in a tanker rollover and fire north of Duluth on Saturday afternoon. The driver, Xavier Henson, was unable to negotiate a curve and the truck overturned and caught fire. Emergency crews remained on the scene into the evening.
