Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Tractor Trailer in Dudley, Missouri

William Vanover was pronounced dead at the scene.
One man has tragically lost his life after being struck by a tractor trailer in Stoddard County. The incident occurred on September 21 at approximately 12:58 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Reports.
The driver of the involved vehicle, identified as a 2000 International tractor trailer, was traveling northbound on County Road 477, located five miles north of Dudley. It was during this time that the unfortunate accident took place when the truck collided with a pedestrian who was present on the roadway.
The victim has been identified as William Vanover, a 31-year-old resident of Puxico. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Stoddard County Coroner Brent Stidham around 2:00 p.m. Following this determination, Vanover's body was transported to the Stoddard County Morgue under the supervision of the coroner.
Authorities are currently investigating this tragic incident to determine its exact cause and any contributing factors. Further details regarding potential charges or additional information surrounding this case have not yet been released.
