Philadelphia Woman Dies in Car and NJ Transit Bus Collision in Camden

One fatality, several injuries
A tragic accident in Camden, New Jersey has claimed the life of a Philadelphia woman. According to the New Jersey State Police, Nicole Jean, 50, was killed when her SUV collided with an NJ Transit bus on northbound Interstate 676 on July 19.
The police account states that Jean was thrown from her vehicle after it pulled into the path of the bus. The driver of the SUV and three other passengers sustained serious injuries in the crash. Fortunately, neither the bus driver nor any of its nine passengers were injured.
This incident marks the second fatal accident involving an NJ Transit bus in South Jersey within recent weeks. On June 20, another collision between a car and a bus resulted in a motorist's death at an intersection in Washington Township.
Providing further details about the Camden crash, authorities explained that after being hit from behind near milepost 0.4, Jean's SUV descended a ramp to Collings Avenue before overturning and crossing over a concrete curb and grass median onto a ramp leading to the highway. It was during this sequence of events that she was ejected from her vehicle.
In regards to the Washington Township collision, which occurred around 5:10 p.m., little information has been released thus far. The driver who lost their life has only been identified as Cristianna Venuto, aged 50 and hailing from Sicklerville.
These incidents serve as reminders for drivers to exercise caution on roadways and adhere to traffic regulations at all times.
