The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office reported a rollover crash in Robinson Township, Michigan, which resulted in a hydraulic fluid leak on the road. The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday when deputies were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 120th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive.

According to authorities, a garbage truck driven by a 48-year-old male from Plainwell was struck by another car while slowing down to make a left turn into a driveway. The car involved in the accident was attempting to overtake both the garbage truck and another vehicle at that moment. As a result of the collision, the car rolled over into a nearby ditch, causing significant damage.

Furthermore, due to the impact of the crash, hydraulic fluid began leaking from the garbage truck onto the road surface. Recognizing this potential hazard for other motorists, officials promptly contacted and requested assistance from the Ottawa County Road Commission for cleanup operations.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of this incident. However, as part of safety measures and ongoing investigations conducted by law enforcement officers at that time, 120th Avenue had been temporarily closed off to traffic until it could be deemed safe again.

After necessary clean-up procedures were carried out successfully by personnel from Ottawa County Road Commission and with confirmation that there were no lingering dangers present on-site anymore; authorities reopened 120th Avenue for public use once more.

This serves as an important reminder for all drivers to exercise caution when overtaking vehicles or making turns on roads with multiple lanes or limited visibility areas. By adhering strictly to traffic regulations and maintaining awareness of their surroundings at all times; individuals can help prevent accidents like these from occurring in future instances.
