On May 29 at around 7:55 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Marshall Hall Road near Mommas Place. The incident involved two vehicles with one overturned and both occupants trapped.
Upon arrival, responders found several injured occupants from both vehicles. Two patients were quickly extricated and turned over to EMS for care while firefighters extinguished the fire using a hand line. However, due to weather conditions, a MEDEVAC was unable to fly at least one patient.
EMS evaluated five patients on the scene before transporting all of them to UM Capitol Region Trauma Center for treatment. As of now, their condition is unknown.
Marshall Hall Road will be closed from Mommas Place to Cannon Park Road for several hours as authorities investigate the cause of the accident.
