Jason Jones and John Kilmer Involved in T-Bone Crash in Carthage, Missouri

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — A two-vehicle crash occurred at CR170 and Fir Road/State Hwy HH on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at around 4:30 p.m. The incident was reported to Jasper County E-911, and Carthage Fire Department, Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Mercy Ambulance responded to the scene. Missouri State Highway Patrol was also notified.
According to Cpl M. Cook of Troop D, one driver was transported to Mercy Carthage. The injured driver, identified as Jason Jones, 46, of Carthage, was operating a 1990 Chevy 1500 pickup. He suffered moderate injuries but was wearing his seat belt. Jones left Hwy HH and t-boned a 2007 Chevy Avalanche driven by John Kilmer, 40, of Carthage. Kilmer was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.
Cpl M. Cook of Troop D stated, “attempted to avoid an eastbound vehicle stopped on Hwy HH and traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck.”
