A man from Mississippi has died after a single-motorcycle crash near Cape Fair, Missouri. Richard King, 71, was riding his BMW motorcycle on Missouri Highway 76 when the crash occurred. He was taken to a Springfield hospital by helicopter but was later pronounced dead.
A woman from Wheatland has died after a single-car crash in Hickory County, Missouri. Brenda Fisk, 66, was driving her Jeep Grand Cherokee when it went off the road, hit an embankment, and flipped several times. Fisk was pronounced dead at the scene.
A two-year-old boy from Thayer has died after being hit by a car Friday afternoon. The incident happened on private property in Thayer around 2 p.m. The child was taken to a hospital in West Plains, where he was pronounced dead.

Zacharye T. Evans, 29, was killed in a two-car accident in Lincoln County Friday night. Evans had traveled off of the left side of the road while traveling westbound. He then overcorrected and skidded back across the roadway. Evans’ vehicle overturned and partially ejected him. Evans was not wearing a seatbelt, according to MSHP.
David Simmons, 28, died in a crash on I-270 in north St. Louis County. Simmons was traveling too fast and too close to another vehicle before he attempted to avoid a crash with another driver. He ended up striking another vehicle, left the roadway and overturned, according to the MSHP crash report.
James Gillispie, 76, died in a motorcycle crash in Miller County, Missouri. A woman was also injured in the crash. MSHP Troop F has investigated 20 deaths from crashes this year.
A two-vehicle crash occurred in Carthage, Missouri on CR170 and Fir Road/State Hwy HH. Jason Jones, 46, of Carthage was transported to Mercy Carthage with moderate injuries. John Kilmer, 40, of Carthage was not injured.
An 80-year-old woman from Gravois Mills, Missouri, died after driving her SUV into Lake of the Ozarks. Floy Beard was found floating in the water the next morning. This marks MSHP Troop F’s 15th fatal crash in 2023.
A 43-year-old man from Clinton, Missouri, was seriously injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle crash. The crash occurred when the man’s 2001 Chevrolet Silverado ran off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment and a fence. He was airlifted to a hospital as a result of the crash.
