Teen Seriously Injured Jumping from Car in Panama City Beach

Panama City Beach Police have provided further details regarding a serious incident involving a teenager in the area. According to officials, the 17-year-old was being transported to Ascension Sacred Heart Emergency Care when they allegedly consumed a hallucinogen and subsequently jumped from the moving vehicle, resulting in severe injuries.
The incident took place on Back Beach Road in front of the 10X Breakfast Point Apartments at approximately 8:30 p.m. local time. The injured teen was swiftly attended to by Bay County EMS and is currently listed as being in critical condition.
Authorities have categorized this as a traffic-related injury, although specific details about how many vehicles were involved or how exactly it occurred remain unknown at this time. Law enforcement officers are actively investigating the incident.
Back Beach Road west of Moylan Road has since been reopened for normal traffic flow following initial closures due to the investigation.
