Teenage Female Driver Dies in Car Accident with Tow Truck

A tragic car accident in Ionia County, Michigan has resulted in the death of a teenage female driver. According to police reports, the incident occurred on Friday at approximately 4:11 p.m. when deputies from the Ionia County Sheriff's Office were called to respond to a collision between a tow truck and a car at the intersection of Jackson Road and West Goodemoot Road.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the tow truck was driving north on Jackson Road when a car driven by a teenage female was attempting to turn onto Jackson Road from Goodemoot Road. Unfortunately, the young driver pulled into the intersection directly in front of the tow truck resulting in an unavoidable crash.
Tragically, investigators have confirmed that the teenage driver was not wearing a seatbelt and as such she sustained fatal injuries during impact. She was pronounced dead at the scene while thankfully, the tow truck driver was uninjured.
