One man has been arrested and another cited after an accident occurred on Saturday, July 8th, at approximately 2:45 p.m. The incident took place in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, a Ford F350 pickup truck was towing a skid steer when it encountered slow-moving traffic on Highway 26. The traffic had slowed down due to the presence of deep hail covering the roadway. Unfortunately, the driver of the pickup truck was unable to decelerate in time and swerved left across the eastbound lane before rolling into the south ditch.
Fortunately, neither occupant sustained any injuries during this incident. Additionally, no other vehicles were involved in this collision.
However, authorities discovered that both occupants of the Ford were underage individuals aged 19 years old. Consequently, legal actions have been taken against them based on their involvement in this accident.
The driver of the Ford was arrested for driving under influence (DUI), minor in possession (MIP), as well as refusal of a portable breath test (PBT). On top of that, the passenger also received a citation for being a minor in possession.
