DeKalb County police are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of two individuals. According to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday at 2:43 a.m. on Fairington Road near Willowick Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two vehicles that had been damaged from the accident. The investigation revealed that a man in his 20s was driving a car and attempting to pass another vehicle. However, during the attempt to pass, the man collided head-on with a vehicle being driven by a man in his 50s who had a passenger in his 60s.
The crash resulted in the death of both the driver and passenger in the second vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities have not released the identities of those involved. Anyone with information regarding the crash is urged to contact the DeKalb County Police Department.
