Two Men Killed in Motorcycle Crash in St. Clair County, Missouri

Two fatalities, one serious injury
St. Clair County, Missouri - Tragedy struck on Sunday when a motorcycle crash claimed the lives of two men. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the incident occurred around 11:25 a.m. at an intersection on Highway 13 near the Pilot Travel Center.
The collision involved two motorcycles, one driven by 59-year-old Jessie Ray and his female passenger on a Suzuki motorcycle heading west on a county road intersection. The other motorcycle was traveling north on Highway 13 and operated by Ronald Wallace, aged 60 from Bolivar.
The accident unfolded when Ray failed to yield to Wallace's motorcycle as they approached each other at the intersection. The resulting impact caused both motorcycles to veer off the roadway, ejecting all three individuals involved.
Tragically, Jessie Ray succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash while emergency responders rushed Wallace and his passenger via separate helicopters to hospitals in Springfield for treatment of serious injuries sustained during the accident.
Regrettably, Ronald Wallace passed away early Monday morning due to complications arising from his injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities have confirmed that both Jessie Ray and his passenger were wearing helmets at the time of impact; however, it remains unknown whether Ronald Wallace had been wearing protective headgear.
