Two-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Hit by Car in Thayer

A tragic incident occurred on Friday afternoon in Thayer, Missouri when a two-year-old boy was hit by a car and later died. The accident happened on private property around 2 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The report states that a Chevrolet Traverse SUV was backing out of the property when it struck the child. The toddler was immediately taken to West Plains hospital but unfortunately, he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
It is unclear whether any charges will be filed against the driver of the vehicle involved in this tragedy.
