25-Year-Old Woman Dies in Florida Crash After Logs Fall on Car

A tragic accident occurred overnight in Yulee, Florida, resulting in the death of a young woman. The incident took place when logs fell onto her car following a collision with a log truck.
The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed the unfortunate news. According to the crash report, the incident happened around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of State Road 200 and Felmor Road. An SUV was traveling eastbound on State Road 200 behind a semi-truck carrying logs in the outside lane.
Regrettably, it seems that the driver of the SUV failed to maintain a safe distance from the truck and collided with its trailer. This impact caused several logs to fall onto and into her vehicle.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene, and paramedics rushed her to UF Health for medical treatment. Tragically, despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. The victim was identified as a 25-year-old woman from Fernandina Beach.
This devastating incident serves as another reminder of how crucial it is for drivers to maintain safe distances between vehicles while on highways or roads where large trucks are present.
