Crystal McSwain Nance Dies in Head-On Collision in Cherokee County

Nance later died from her injuries at Cherokee Medical Center.
A tragic incident occurred in Cherokee County on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the death of a woman. According to Coroner Dennis Fowler with Cherokee County Coroner's Office, Crystal McSwain Nance, 49, of Gaffney was identified as the victim.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. when Nance was driving south on North Limestone Street and another car heading north on North Logan Street failed to yield right of way at the intersection. The two cars collided head-on.
Nance sustained severe injuries from the collision and was immediately taken to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries just after 1:30 p.m., according to Fowler.
Investigations into the cause of this fatal accident are ongoing. Our thoughts go out to Nance's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
