Four teens are facing multiple charges after a single motor vehicle accident in Amherst. The vehicle involved was confirmed to be stolen and a loaded handgun was discovered. The teens have been detained and are awaiting court appearances.
Milan Hiteshbhai Patel, a 30-year-old Amherst man, died in a car crash in Huron County early Tuesday morning. Patel was traveling north along state Route 61 when his Toyota Camry went off the right side of the road, striking a ditch, traffic sign and tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was trapped inside the car. It’s unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved.
A car crashed into Barra Restaurant in Amherst, Ohio, injuring two teens. The Memorial Day parade was rerouted due to the crash. No fatalities were reported.
