Gerald Perri, 54, was driving north on Mechanic St. at approximately 3:14 a.m. when he veered off to the side of the right side of the road and crashed into a parked car in someone’s driveway. Perri was ejected from his car and died at the scene.
A car crashed into a Subway sandwich shop in Smithfield, Rhode Island, killing one person and injuring five others. The cause of the crash is unknown, but witnesses say the driver was speeding through the parking lot. The Subway and neighboring Planet Fitness were significantly damaged and will remain closed until further notice.
