Harvey Shelton was in a car accident on the day of his graduation, causing him to miss it. However, the day after, Maumelle High School held a special ceremony for him. Shelton was amazed he wasn’t badly hurt and is grateful to those who supported him.
Former Mississippi state Sen. Johnny Morgan, 76, died in a plane crash in Arkansas. He was the only person aboard the twin-engine Beech King Air E-90 plane that crashed in southern Washington County. Morgan served in the Mississippi state Senate from 1983 to 1991 and was best known for hosting the annual “Good Ole Boys and Girls” event in his tractor shed.
Two Arkansas men died after two separate crashes in Madison County over the weekend. The first happened Friday night around 9 p.m. The second crash happened Saturday afternoon around 2:45 p.m.
Arkansas cornerback Quincey McAdoo was hospitalized after being involved in a car accident. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition. McAdoo recorded 30 tackles combined, one sack, two interceptions, and six passes defended in the final five games of the season.

James Bell, a 22-year-old man from Stuttgart, was killed in a crash after his car ran off the road in Searcy. The accident occurred on Friday, April 21, around 6:20 a.m. Bell's vehicle struck an overpass pillar and he died in the crash.
